Hi and welcome once again to “Abounding Grace”. We have been studying the laws of the Spirit and are about to conclude “The law of confession” to-day with a study of “The shield of faith”. I trust you have been blessed by what has been shared and that you have shared it with others so that they could be blessed too.

Faith is not only receiving from God and having our needs met, that is a part of faith, but there is another dimension to faith that is often overlooked and that is; faith is a protective force. Eph.6 talks about faith as a very important part of the armour of God.

Eph.6:11, 14-16. (Amp) Put on God’s whole armour [the armour of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, and having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

We are warned by the Word of God that the devil will come against us with wiles, craftiness and deception, but God has equipped us with an armour that enables us to stand and resist his arsenal. Please note the importance accredited to the shield of faith.

Eph.6:16. (Amp) Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

In other words don’t leave home without your shield. The word here for shield describes the shield as something that could cover a cave mouth, so we are talking of a very large shield, about door size, not only is it very large but it is also extremely effective, it quenches all the fiery darts of the wicked. Now remember that the word wicked means “hurtful” so we understand that Satan is out to hurt us, but on the other hand the word quench means: to extinguish; put out; render ineffective and to nullify, all the darts that he has to hurt us with, the word “all” leaves no exceptions, all means all. The shield of faith is impenetrable and there is no wile that the devil has that can get through the shield of faith. The word wiles means strategies or deceptions and that is how Satan comes at us, he uses strategies and a strategy is the art of moving or disposing of troops as to impose upon the enemy the place and time and conditions for fighting preferred by oneself, but if we are diligent in keeping the shield of faith raised as we are instructed to do then we can’t get caught unawares. We are to diligently meditate on the Word of God, believe it, speak it and act on it and then we will see the same kind of results the disciples saw.

Luke.10:17-19. (KJV) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Jesus sent out seventy of His disciples and empowered them to do what He had being doing and when they returned they received a life changing revelation “and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. In the Greek this means much more than just nothing, it means: none; not at all; no way at anytime can anything hurt you. We all have to make the quality decision as to whether or not we are going to take the Word of God seriously, Jesus was asked by the disciples why they could not cast the evil spirit out of a little boy and Jesus replied.

Matt.17:20. (Mess) “Because you’re not yet taking God seriously,” said Jesus. “The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, “Move!’ and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle.”

Does the Bible mean what it says? Do we have to read between the lines in some instances? Or did Jesus really mean that if we would follow and obey Him like the seventy did that we would have power and authority to trample on the things that sting, bite, hurt and poison us? We all have to decide for ourselves, do we walk by sight and reasoning, or do we walk by what the Word of God promises us?

Ps.91:10. (Amp) There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

As long as we are standing, confessing and believing what the Word says then we will be safe, but we have to be bold and declare what God says. I often get asked the question as to why some or other bad thing happened to a certain good Christian person, or why did God allow it to happen? We as Christian people don’t automatically walk in God’s promises just because we got saved, we walk in the promises because we accept them by faith, we take God’s Word seriously. It has to do with being a believer of the Word, we can by believing, confessing, and standing in faith raise up the mighty shield of faith and have a barrier of health; protection, prosperity and whatever other promise we can find around about us.

Ps.91:4. (Amp) [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

When will that happen?

Ps.91:2. (Amp) I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

When we say of the Lord.

I’m not saying that you won’t have any trials or attacks, I’m saying that whatever is fired at you can’t hurt you; it can’t get to you.

Ps.91:7. (Amp) A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

Every time we have been hurt or hit it was because we lowered our shield of faith, the enemy is always on the prowl.

1Pet.5:8. (Amp) Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

(Mess) Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping.

It is never O.K. to drop the shield of faith as that makes us open targets, remember in this fight of faith there is no ceasefire. It would be nice if we never experienced any trials or attacks but that is most unlikely, yet, each time we are delivered out of one it a demonstration of the keeping power of God, a testimony to His faithfulness and miraculous working power. We find examples of this throughout the Word of God.

The three Hebrew children were not delivered from being thrown into the fiery furnace, but they believed God, they raise the shield of faith and said:

Dan.3:17. (Amp) If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Paul wasn’t delivered from the shipwreck but went through it. Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den but come out untouched. In none of the aforementioned incidents did they doubt, fear, rationalize or ask “God why did You let this happen? That would have lowered their shield of faith, in the midst of bad situations God protected those who trusted him and will do the same for us. The thing we need to understand is that everything we receive from God we receive by faith. Every day we must decide if we are going to believe what the Word says or are we going to go by experiences, sight or feelings. If we keep our shield of faith raised nothing can hurt us because it can’t get through faith, the reason being that the faith that is in us come out of God Himself, it is a portion of the same substance that created the universe.

Rom.12:3. (KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

God has dealt to every man the measure of the God kind of faith is what the actual rendering of that verse is. It is not a measure but the measure; there is a vast difference between a measure and the measure.

1John.5:18. (KJV) We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

How do you keep yourself? In faith.

Eccl.8:5. (KJV) Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing.

You can believe the scriptures and take them literally without exception, so put on the whole armour that God has supplied for you, strap on the truth and take the sword of the Spirit and raise the might shield of faith and remember as long as you are behind the shield

Ish.54:17. (KJV) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Whatever you do, don’t leave home without your shield of faith.

Thank you for joining me to-day, it is time for me to say “till next time” and in the mean time don’t forget to share the Word and spread His love all around you, be blessed and have a happy day.

If you have not yet made a quality decision to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour then I would like to extend that invitation to you right now, there is nothing you can do to become a part of the family of God except bow your head and prayer the following prayer from your heart and receive the gift of righteousness from the hand of the Father, so don’t procrastinate, go for it:

“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Hi and welcome one and all to “Abounding Grace” as we continue with our discussion on “The law of the Spirit”. We are at the moment discussing the law of confession. In our study so far we have discussed: What a law is; How the law of sin and death was introduced into the earth; How to operate in the law of the Spirit of life; The key to setting the law of the Spirit of life into motion; the law of meditation; and now we are busy with the law of confession. I pray that we have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of this very important subject from the Word of God. We will now continue with “All increase or decrease in your life comes by your tongue”.

Prov.15:4. (KJV) A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

(Amp) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

“Death and life are in the tongue.” Note that death and life are not in Satan’s power, and they are not in God’s power but in the power of your tongue. Some people love to build, some people love to kill. Learn to build your family, learn to lift them up. Speak words that encourage and bless. Send your children off to school in an atmosphere of life and joy send your spouse forth in an atmosphere of strong words of love, deal with your business associates with words of deliverance do away with this negative approach. The negative approach to things comes out of the world of the senses and it is in this realm that Satan operates, this is your enemy. By placing the emphasis on the positive or the Word of God you are yielding to the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The good, be it but small, will overcome if you will give it a word of encouragement. Determine to use words that create life for you in the kingdom of God.

Prov.18:20. (KJV) A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

(Amp) A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].

(Mess) Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest.

“Your belly will be satisfied with the fruit of your mouth.” Your spiritual belly and your physical belly will increase or decrease as your words rise or fall.

Ps.50:23. (KJV) Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

“He whoso ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.” There is nothing that God won’t do for you if you stop yielding your words to the enemy, stop thinking for the enemy. Stop storing up enemy words of doubt, shame, sin, fear, greed, envy and hatred in your heart. Whatever you put there will soon be out. Once it gets out, it pierces everything good you ever did. He that learns to control his tongue has learned the secret of coming into perfect sonship through Christ.

Ps.101:5. (Amp) Whoso privily slanders his neighbour, him will I cut off [from me]; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.

“Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour will be cut off.” God cannot use a man that does not keep his tongue. He is working for the enemy and not God. It is impossible to be used to any great extent if you continually speak negative words of judgment and slander against people with whom you associate. Away with this satanic spirit, it will destroy you and all you ever want to be.

Prov.13:2-3. (KJV) A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence. He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

(Mess) The good acquire a taste for helpful conversation; bullies push and shove their way through life. Careful words make for a careful life; careless talk may ruin everything.

“Transgressors shall eat violence.” Transgress with your lips, and you reap transgressions. It is the law of sowing and reaping. If you want more love, start loving, if you want more faith, start using the faith you have, if you want more joy, begin to rejoice in all things, if you want the gifts of the Spirit to operate, through love and faith begin to do what you can; and they will blossom forth. The reverse is also true. If you want trouble, just speak trouble, if you want your financial blessings to stop flowing, just stop giving your tithes and offerings, if you want love to stop, just start being bitter. Whatever you sow, you shall reap, so if you want violence to hit you, just speak violence against others. It won’t be long until this violence will have done its destruction in you. Sickness comes in this manner at times, financial setback sometimes comes in this manner, defeat will be around if you sow words of negative content.

Prov.16:21. (KJV) The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

(Amp) The wise in heart are called prudent, understanding, and knowing, and winsome speech increases learning [in both speaker and listener].

“Sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.” These are the lips that speak the word of God all the time. You where never created to speak anything but the Word, you must realize that Adam before the fall never had anything else to speak but the Word. The word winsome means, cheerful, attractive, and agreeable, this sort of speech increases learning in both speaker and listener. When one speaks the words of God you become completely shielded by that word.

2Tim.2:16-17. (Amp) But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.

“Vain babblings will increase to more ungodliness.” Whatever you put forth, be it good or be it bad will increase. God help us to recognize this law of the Spirit! We must stop speaking for the devil. When we speak negative words, we are building the devil’s work.

James 3:2. (Amp) For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature.

Prov.21:23. (KJV) Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

(Mess) Watch your words and hold your tongue; you’ll save yourself a lot of grief.

“He that keepeth his mouth keepeth life.” Your spirit stores the words you put into it, the tongue releases the stored words and the words create whatever is coming from your heart through your mouth. When you meditate on and release words they produce life, when you meditate on and release negative words, you are creating death and condemnation. Whatever comes forth out of your spirit lives on, we are dealing with the spirit world and whatever comes out of your spirit is spirit and this is why when people speak good or bad it keeps ringing in your ears for days.

Prov.12:25. (Amp) Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad.

(Mess) Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up.

“Heaviness in the heart maketh it stoop. A good word maketh it glad.” Try it, think of someone you dislike and start confessing love for that person, the glory of God will soon fill your soul and you will begin to love that person.

Prov.10:20. (KJV) The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

(Amp) The tongues of those who are upright and in right standing with God are as choice silver; the minds of those who are wicked and out of harmony with God are of little value.

“The tongue of the just is as choice silver.” Speak words of faith, and financial blessings flow. Remember what the word wicked or evil means, it means hurtful, speak words that are hurtful to yourself or others and poverty in some form or another comes your way.

Prov.12:18. (Amp) There are those who speak rashly, like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

(Mess) Rash language cuts and maims, but there is healing in the words of the wise.

“The tongue of the wise is health.” Your tongue will make you well, or it will make sick. Just keep on complaining and speaking gloom every hour of your day, and the devil will come into your life with sickness and destruction. On the other hand speak Word’s of joy and happiness all day long and Jesus comes into your life and drives out the enemy.

Prov.13:3. (Amp) He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

“He that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.” Let your spirit speak words that are inspired by the satanic world of the senses and you will reap from the law of sin and death (limitation, sickness, poverty and death in all its manifestations) by doing this you are actually siding with devil, you are agreeing with him, you are joining forces with him against the Word of God.

This is a law established by God’s Spirit Word. All increase or decrease in your life comes by your tongue.

Thank you for joining me to-day and I trust you were blessed by the Word of God. The Lord bless and keep you as I say “till next time. Don’t forget to share the Word of life and spread His love all around.

If you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life then make that your top priority to-day, all you have to do is pray the following prayer from your heart and receive you salvation by faith:

“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

If you have prayed the above prayer then go and study the Eternal Life document for a greater understanding of what you have been given by God your Father.

Hi and welcome once again to “Abounding Grace” as we further our study on the subject of confession. To-day we will discuss the fact that whatever you put in your heart will eventually come out of your mouth.

Matt.12:35-37. (KJV) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Jesus says that a good man out of the good treasure (or deposit) of the heart brings forth good things, yet the evil man out of the evil treasure (or hurtful deposit) brings forth evil (or hurtful) things. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things.” The heart is where the words are stored. Then they are released through the lips. The good man stores the Word. He meditates on God. He brings forth good things. “The evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil.” Whatever you put in will grow up and come out. This is the law of reaping. You reap what you sow whatever you think on most becomes a part of you. When you speak it, it is yours. By thy words thou salt be justified or condemned. Your words will deliver you, or they will condemn you. Your words are what you believe in the most. Confess sickness, and get sickness because you believe in sickness more than you do healing. Confess failure, and get failure because you believe in failure more than you do victory through Jesus Christ. Confess the ministry of Christ, and you get the ministry of Christ, because you believe in the ministry of Christ more than you do the ministry of doubt and unbelief which are born in hell.

“The evil man” the word evil here means “hurtful in effect or influence” it does not deal with the essential character of man or his degeneration from moral virtue. Words are what effect or influence our lives and it is the hurtful words we speak that bring calamity into our lives.

Prov.4:23. (Amp) Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flows the springs of life.

(Mess) Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.

“Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues or controlling factors of your life.”

1Cor.3:9. (Amp) For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, labourers together) with and for God; you are God’s garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [you are] God’s building.

Have you ever thought of your life as a garden, God’s garden? All the hurt and calamity that has come into our lives all stems from the words of our mouths. Ask yourself what sort of seed am I planting in my garden, is it from the Word of God or is it based on fear, sickness, poverty and all that the kingdom of darkness represents. To swing your life around you are going to have to change your thinking and confession.

Prov.23:7. (KJV) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Whatever you put in your heart is going to bear fruit. It will someday grow up and become a part of your speech, when it does you have accepted that as your law. So fill your heart with God’s Word then God will come forth on your lips and deliver you in the area concerning your speech at that moment. Whatever you believe in the most will come forth through your lips and control you, become God possessed through reading, studying, and doing God’s Word, then God will always be on your lips and He will always be a shield around you through good and proper words, if you apply these principles then the enemy cannot penetrate you.

This is the law of the Spirit. You get whatever you speak.

Mark.11:23. (KJV) For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Thank you for joining me and I trust that you have been blessed by the Word of God to-day, it is time for me to say “till next time” and in the meantime have a really blessed day and don’t forget to watch your words and your thought life, we are to cast down vain imaginings that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God, that means anything that is not in line with what God has to say about your situation, bring them into captivity to the obedience of Christ, or the Word of God. Have a happy day and don’t forget to share the Word and spread the fragrance of His love all around.

If you have not yet made a quality decision to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour yet then I would like to extend that invitation to you right now, there is nothing you can do to become a part of the family of God except bow your head and prayer the following prayer from your heart and receive the gift of righteousness from the hand of the Father, so don’t procrastinate, go for it:

“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Hi and welcome to “Abounding Grace” once again as we continue with our study of confession. To-day we will be discussing the meaning of the word confession. The Greek word used for confession is homologos and it literally means, “Speaking the same as the Word of God. It means to have a public confession that is identical to what God says. The giving of thanks and the giving of praise are ideas expressed by the word homologos.

Logos is the expression of thoughts, ideas and concepts. Praise and thanksgiving is faith in action. Praise is making a proclamation declaring how great the Lord is and how great His deeds are. It is a declaration of Gods ability and willingness to work on your behalf.

Thanksgiving means to boast and brag about the Lord, it is an action that draws the attention of the world unto God, His person, His attributes and His deeds. It is not merely saying thank you, it is a response of gratitude and deep appreciation towards the Father for the good He has promised to do.

Confession is the vocal expression of these things and has its basis in the Word of God and without God’s promises and example we have nothing of value to confess, only doubt and fear.

  • Confessions of faith and hope.

Hebr.4:14. (Amp) Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].

Hebr.10:23. (Amp) So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.

This is publicly proclaiming and declaring the things we believe and dream about showing plainly to the world our confidence in God and His promises. Hold fast without wavering. This shows that there will be an opportunity to relax our grip and to waver off course. An aggressive confession must be maintained at all times, we are not talking about a silent heart faith, but a vocal outward confession that must be maintained if we are going to see the Word of God come to pass. Faith never grows beyond what you say so maintain a vocal outward confession.

The tongue is a tree of life.

Prov.6:2. (Amp) You are snared with the words of your lips; you are caught by the speech of your mouth.

Prov.12:13-14. (Amp) The wicked is [dangerously] snared by the transgression of his lips, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall come out of trouble. From the fruit of his words a man shall be satisfied with good, and the work of a man’s hands shall come back to him [as a harvest].

A snare is anything by which one is brought into trouble, it means “to entangle; to bring into unexpected evil or danger it is a net or a trap.”

“You are snared by your words.” Whatever you speak becomes part of you sooner or later. “The wicked is snared” by his words. The just shall come out of trouble with his words. “A man shall be satisfied with good” by proper use of words. The words you speak are the fruit of your spirit. Your heart speaks through the lips and the fruit is therefore born on the lips. Negative words tear and destroy what the good words have built up. Every good word builds a shield around you. Every negative word tears this shield down. Keep your words right and the enemy cannot tear down that shield. He will not be able to penetrate you.

Prov.15:4. (KJV) A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

(Mess) Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim.

Prov.18:21. (Amp) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

(Mess) Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit, you choose.

That is all for to-day folk’s trust you were blessed by the Word, don’t forget to share the Word and spread His love all around.

If you have never accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour then now is the time to do so, let to-day be the day of salvation for you by praying the following prayer from your heart and accepting the free gift that God is offering you:

Hi and welcome once again to “Abounding Grace” as we continue our study on “The law of confession”. Last time we concluded by saying “Whatever fills your heart will arise to the lips, whatever is in your heart in abundance will come out of your mouth. Right believing brings right speech, so if your confession is wrong then your believing is wrong, if your believing is wrong your thinking is wrong and if your thinking is wrong then your mind has not been renewed by the Word of God. Let us now continue with the types of confession found in the Word. There are basically three types of confession.

  • Confession of the sins of the Jews.

Matt.3:5-6. (Amp) Then Jerusalem and all Judea and all the country round about the Jordan went out to him; And they were baptized in the Jordan by him, confessing their sins.

There is a difference between the sins of the Jews under the Old Covenant and the sin of the unbeliever to-day that has never met Christ.

  • The confession of the sinner today.

John.16:7-11. (KJV) Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

The chief confession of the sinner is the Lordship of Jesus.

Rom.10:9. (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

  • The confession of the believer out of fellowship with God. (Someone whose sins are unconfessed).

Acts.19:18. (Amp) Many also of those who were now believers came making full confession and thoroughly exposing their [former deceptive and evil] practices.

1John.1:3-10. (Mess) We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Our motive for writing is simply this: We want you to enjoy this, too. Your joy will double our joy! This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him. If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth – we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin. If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins, make a clean breast of them, He won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we’ve never sinned, we out and out contradict God, make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God.

  • Forgiveness restores fellowship.

Ish.43:25. (Amp) I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

(Mess) “But I, yes I, am the one who takes care of your sins, that’s what I do. I don’t keep a list of your sins.

Jer.31:34. (Amp) And they will no more teach each man his neighbour and each man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they will all know Me [recognize, understand, and be acquainted with Me], from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will [seriously] remember their sin no more.

Ps.103:1-3. (Amp) Bless (Affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases.

Ps.137:1-4. (Amp) By the rivers of Babylon, there we [captives] sat down, yes, we wept when we [earnestly] remembered Zion [the city of our God imprinted on our hearts]. On the willow trees in the midst of [Babylon] we hung our harps. For there they who led us captive required of us a song with words, and our tormentors and they who wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?

As God’s people we will always have a song of praise in our hearts for what the Lord has done, if that thankfulness and praise are not present then that is a sure indicator that we are out of fellowship, and in a strange land, just confess whatever needs to be confessed and the joy will return.

Confessions are not only negative for example, of sin, but also positive, and the Word speaks more of the positive side of confession. Positive confession is affirming something we believe, it is testifying to something we know, and it is witnessing for a truth we have embraced.

That’s all folk’s thanks for joining me, go forth in the joy of the Lord and share the Word, spread the love and have a really blessed day, “till next time”.

The Word says that Jesus come to seek and save the lost, He didn’t come for the lost, He came to seek out those who are lost, by lost it is meant those you are not yet in a covenant relationship with the Father. To enter into the covenants of God a man must be born again, the only way to be born again is to accept the sacrifice that God has made for you by putting forth His Son as a sin offering. If you have never done that then to-day is your greatest day of blessing. All you have to do is bow your head and pray the following prayer from your heart and receive the salvation God is offering you right now:

“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Hello, thank you for joining me once again at “Abounding Grace” as we further our studies of the laws of the Spirit, to-day we will begin a discussion on “The law of confession”. I pray the Holy Spirit will speak to your heart as we study this subject from the Word of God. We are to understand that there are spiritual laws that govern the spiritual world and confession is one of these laws. Confession is faiths way of expressing itself, and faiths confession creates reality.

John.17:17. (Amp) Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.

Jesus prays the Father that He will sanctify us by the truth, now the word sanctify is not some kind of holy word, it simply means to set apart, so Jesus asks the Father to set us apart for His use by the Word. Then He says Your Word is Truth. “Truth” can also be translated “reality”. God’s Word is the reality, not your circumstance, not what you see with your eye in the natural, but the Word is the reality. Someone asked me the other day how I was, I said fine, then the person said that I wouldn’t tell them how I really was anyway and my reply to that was “I will always tell you how I am, I may not tell you how I feel but I will tell you how I am, I base how I am on what the Word says not on how I feel, feelings are subject to change so they cannot possibly be truth as truth never changes, you can’t change reality.

Matt.12:33-37. (KJV) Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Note that the tree is given a gender and in His teaching Jesus use’s a tree to define people’s lives. You can either make your life good, and what fruit appears in your life good, or you can make your life corrupt and the fruit of your life corrupt. You can always tell what’s in a person’s heart by what comes out of his mouth. Jesus then goes on to say that a good man out of the good treasure (or deposit) of the heart brings forth good things, yet the evil man out of the evil treasure (or hurtful deposit) brings forth evil (or hurtful) things. He goes on to say that every idle word that men speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement, I believe this particular judgement refers to what we speak on a daily basis, our words are going bring judgement, either good or bad. The dictionary defines judgment as: To examine, study, evaluate and uncover in order to arrive at a verdict as to whether a reward or condemnation is deserved. It depends on the result of the investigation. By thy words thou shall be justified; justified means to be made free; acquitted. By your words you will be condemned; condemned means to be put in bondage; to be sentenced. It is all according to your words.

(Mess) “If you grow a healthy tree, you’ll pick healthy fruit. If you grow a diseased tree, you’ll pick worm-eaten fruit. The fruit tells you about the tree. “You have minds like a snake pit! How do you suppose what you say is worth anything when you are so foul-minded? It’s your heart, not the dictionary that gives meaning to your words. A good person produces good deeds and words season after season. An evil person is a blight on the orchard. Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”

Whatever fills your heart will arise to the lips, whatever is in your heart in abundance will come out of your mouth. Right believing brings right speech, so if your confession is wrong then your believing is wrong, if your believing is wrong your thinking is wrong and if your thinking is wrong then your mind has not been renewed by the Word of God.

That’s all I have folk’s thanks for joining me and I trust you were blessed by the Word, don’t forget to share what you have received and to spread the fragrance of His love all around. Have a blessed day and I’ll say till next time.

Hi and welcome to “Abounding Grace” once again, thank you for joining me and thank you all for bearing with me in this time, I know the postings have been very erratic and I apologize, I trust that this will change and we can get back to normal. To-day we are going to discuss the power of meditation and I trust you will be blessed and in turn will bless a host of others as you share with them.

Prov.23:7. (KJV) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

“As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Thinking on or agreeing with the Word of God will cause it to become a fact. You are actually sowing good seed into your heart which will grow. What you sow there is what you eventually become.

Prov.4:21-22. (Amp) Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the centre of your heart for they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

(Mess) Keep my message in plain view at all times. Concentrate! Learn it by heart! Those who discover these words live really live; body and soul, they’re bursting with health.

“Keep them in the midst of thine heart; they are health to all their flesh.” God’s Word is creative, when God releases His Word He also releases His faith, so whatever Word God has spoken is filled with God’s faith and it will do what it says it will do:

Ish.55:11. (KJV) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Take the time to meditate on the Word and let it grow in your spirit and it will soon bring about health and prosperity.

Confess: “Lord, I will think on Your Word and I will grow up spiritually. I am a success, I am strong in you Lord and I live in divine health.” Now water this confession often with more of like truth.

Ps.37:31. (KJV) The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

(Mess) His heart pumps God’s Word like blood through his veins; his feet are as sure as a cat’s.

“None of his steps shall slide.” Meditate on this: “I am steadfast and my steps do not slide. God is in me through His Word and I am moving forward.” Do not accept anything to the contrary.

Jer.6:19. (Amp) Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing evil upon this people, the fruit of their thoughts (their schemes and devices) because they have not listened and obeyed My words, and as for My law, they have rejected it.

“I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts.” The thing you think on will soon be working for you. See yourself creative and strong, see yourself changing from glory to glory, see yourself with a creative ministry, miracles are flowing through you.

Stop and worship the Lord and let this work in your spirit.

These people were thinking evil and it was soon to bring them into complete destruction. As you think victory in Jesus it will bring you into complete victory.

Prov.21:5. (Amp) The thoughts of the [steadily] diligent tend only to plenteousness, but everyone who is impatient and hasty hastens only to want.

“The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness.” You must be determined, don’t give up just because you do not see the fruits of your meditation at first. Determine to hang in there and permit the seed to bring in its harvest. Agree with God.

Meditate before the Lord and see prosperity as a reality, see love flowing in your life, see good things happening in your situation.

Meditate on pleasant things.

Phil.4:8. (Amp) For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honourable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

(Mess) Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious, the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

Teach yourself to think success rather than failure, on things that edify rather than things that tend to draw you into depression. Change your thought patterns. Think on the truth of God’s Word, on things that are right, never on things that are a bit shady or unclean. Think on lovely things and try to have a good report even when things look bad. Visualize yourself constantly thinking and giving a good report, encourage others and as you do so, you, yourself will be encouraged.

Ps.49:3. (Amp) My mouth shall speak wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.

As you meditate in your quiet time, form a picture in your mind of yourself speaking wisdom. You are thinking on truth and you are a person of wisdom and understanding. You may say to yourself, “well I am not too wise as I make a lot of wrong decisions, I seem to do so many things wrong.” This may be what you see in your daily life, because this is what you are saying. Agree with the Lord and His Word that you do speak wisdom and you are a person of understanding do not get into agreement with what you see in your daily life, just refuse to accept what the flesh tells you. You must agree with the truth. Choose to believe that you are strong in Jesus, that people like you, hold on to that choice. When you move into a new house you can look about and see the needy places and become very discouraged, or you can look out and see all the weak and needy areas as they will be after you have gone to work on them. Meditate on the things in your life as they shall be after Jesus and you are finished with the repairs and rebuilding.

That is all I have for now and it is time for me to say “till next time” and in the meantime be blessed and don’t forget to share His Word and spread His love all around.

If you have never accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour then I want to give you the opportunity to do so right here and now. God declares that it is His will for all men to be saved and to know His divine truth, so the decision for your salvation does not lie with Him but with you, He says that He lays before you life and death, blessing and cursing, you must choose, so make the wise choice to-day and choose life, choose the blessing by accepting Jesus as your Lord. There is nothing you can physically do to be saved; you can only accept what God has done for you through Jesus by praying the following prayer:

“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Hi and thank you for joining me at “Abounding Grace” once again for a continuation of our study of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. To-day we continue with the law of meditation and will discuss the fact that meditation is a key to success.

Ps.77:12. (KJV) I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

(Mess) I’ll ponder all the things you’ve accomplished, and give a long, loving look at your acts.

“I will meditate also of all your work, and talk of thy doings.” The children of Israel were told to hide the Word in their hearts. They were to teach them diligently to their children. They were to talk of them when they sat in their houses and when they walked in the way or while travelling from place to place. They were to discuss the Word when they had evening devotions with the family. They were to have a time of discussing the Word in the morning when they got up.

Deut.6:6-10.  (Amp) And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be [first] in your [own] minds and hearts; [then] you shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the [minds and] hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets (forehead bands) between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and on your gates. And when the Lord your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you, with great and goodly cities which you did not build.

We as Gods people should enjoy discussing the Word of God together and making strong confessions of faith based on the Word. Jesus reveals Himself to us in new ways when we begin to talk about His Word. Living in His Word is exciting and very rewarding.

Josh.1:8. (Amp) This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth.” We are to keep speaking the Word, which is one form of meditation, over and over during the day and the night just keep speaking the scripture that covers your need.

“Thou shalt meditate therein and night.”  We are commanded to meditate on the Word while we work during the day and in a very direct way during the quiet hours of the night. If you meditate on negative things they grow and become weeds in the garden of your life, but if you meditate on the Word of God they will grow and become great blessings in your garden.

“That thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” It is important to meditate on the Word, but it is also important to observe to do all the Word. You have to make your life shape up.

Keep confessing before the Lord, “I will observe to do Your Word, I will be a success, and I choose to be prosperous. Determine to be a success, make a choice and a decision to be prosperous.

Ps.1:2-3. (Amp) But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

(Mess) Instead you thrill to God’s Word; you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

“His delight is in the law of the Lord.” Your first love is His Word, you are excited about His Word, and you delight in it. Even if you do not have that much love for God’s Word, keep working toward that end. It will begin to open up to you, your love will grow.

Stop and spend some time right now saying: “I do delight in the Word of the Lord.” When you do this, you are making a choice to love His Word rather than to live a defeated life. Choose to delight in His law more and more.

“In his law doth he meditate day and night.” Make a decision to make His Word an important part of your life daily, choose to think what the Word says about healing rather than what your body says, choose to think what His Word says about success rather than what your experience teaches you, make a choice decision to believe God’s Word.

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.” See yourself growing like a tree planted near the river, see yourself thriving. If you can get this picture of yourself, it will begin to manifest. This is what faith is all about. On the other hand, if you just let your mind flow with the negative and the daily pressures and problems then you go down to the level of the problems.

“That bringeth forth his fruit in his season.” Think of this. You are fruitful, you are coming forth into your ministry, your finances are flowing, your healing is flowing, and your life is fruitful. Keep this before you rather that what you see in the natural. This will pull you right up out of the negative. What you think will soon be yours. You are agreeing with what the Lord says about you in His Word.

“Meditate on these things.” Paul wrote to Timothy and told him that he should not neglect the gift that was given to him by prophecy, and then he told him how to make it productive. He told Timothy to meditate on the fact that he had a gift even though the gift was not being manifested in his life, he was to meditate on the fact that it was given to him by the Lord. It was his even though it was not manifested.

The word meditation according to one authority is to revolve in the mind, imagine, or premeditate. Another authority includes activate or practice in the meaning of the word. It has a further meaning of to ponder and to imagine. Another authority states that it means to attend to, to be diligent in, to practice as the result of devising or planning, and also to ponder and to imagine or meditate.

In the light of this interesting word Paul instructed Timothy to meditate on the fact that he had a gift from God, he was to run it over and over in his thinking, then he was to imagine this gift working, he was to visualize it happening in his life after that he was to practice and cultivate this gift.

This is Mark 11:24 in action. “Therefore I say unto you what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” When you meditate on it, then visualize or imagine it happening, you actually believe before it is manifested. Then you begin to move into the gift, you begin to make plans for the project, you see it completed. You then do what you can to make it come to pass; you practice or cultivate it. Meditate on a success truth from God’s Word, imagine it happening to you, then do what you can to get it to happen.

Spend some time with this; it is a seed that takes time to fully develop.

It is time for me to say “till next time” in the meantime have a blessed day and don’t forget to share the Word and spread His love all around.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour then I urge you by the mercies of God to consider doing so. Below is a scriptural prayer of salvation you can pray from your heart and receive the promise of salvation that God the Father is holding out to you to-day by faith:

Hi and welcome once again to “Abounding Grace”. Let us now continue with our study of the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus by discussing the law of meditation, yes there is a spiritual law that governs meditation. Remember that we said a law is something that works every time it is put into operation. If we do not apply the law of meditation then unfortunately we will not receive revelation from the Word of God, or our insight into the things of God will be very limited. Remember what God told Joshua:

Josh.1:8. (Amp) This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

(Mess) And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.

The meaning of the word “meditate” in both the Hebrew and the Greek means to: To murmur; to ponder; imagine; mutter; converse with oneself; utter.

Meditation is a time of quietness.

Gen.24:63. (KJV) And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.

It is imperative that we get alone with God for a quiet time. Early morning is a good time for some, others will prefer the late afternoon, just before eating is an excellent time to commune with God. Isaac went out to meditate just before dusk. This was probably a custom handed down to him from Abraham.

Acts.10:9-10. (Amp) The next day as they were still on their way and were approaching the town, Peter went up to the roof of the house to pray, about the sixth hour (noon). But he became very hungry, and wanted something to eat; and while the meal was being prepared a trance came over him.

Peter went up to pray just before his noon meal; and as he prayed, he fell into a trance; and God spoke to him by the Spirit. When you have an empty stomach is a good time to seek God like this. When you are in the spirit of fasting, the Spirit seems to be more active. Let meditation be a time of serenity, it will have the same effect as being alone on the sea shore or out in some other natural environment. Meditation should be a time of fellowship with the Lord; it is a time of worship and a time of prayer.

Ps.77:6. (KJV) I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

We always use the Word of God as the foundation for prayer, worship and praise. Find the Word of God that covers your need or the needs of others and go over the promise and then begin to talk to God about the needs in the light of His Word. “I commune with mine own heart and my spirit made diligent search.” Search your heart, look into the world of the spirit and as you draw near to God, He will draw near to you.

Ps.4:4. (KJV) Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

As you lie down to rest, get quiet, put your entire attention on Jesus and wait in His presence as He is eager to fellowship with you. In this atmosphere the gifts of the Spirit will manifest. It is important to praise the Lord often during these times of meditation as praise brings a stronger manifestation of the presence of the Lord. God inhabits the praises of His people. You may think you are alone but always remember the angels of God join you as you praise Him. You ought to get into the habit of praying in the Spirit for fifteen minutes or more a day, and then get quiet, at times you may drop off to sleep for a few minutes and as you begin to wake up the Lord will minister to your heart.

“Stand in awe and sin not.” Righteousness and holiness are very important as sin can break down the lines of communication between you and the Holy Spirit so search your heart and confess you shortcomings to God and He is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

“I commune with my heart: and my spirit made diligent search.”  Your heart reaches right into the heart of the Father God who is in you, He is not far away and aloof, He is near you He is in your heart, and you are one spirit with the Lord. It is your spirit that is fellowshipping the Father and as you fellowship and worship His very presence fills the temple and that is not a temple of brick and mortar but the very heart of man.

1Cor.3:16. (KJV) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

(Mess) You realize, don’t you, that you are the temple of God, and God himself is present in you?

Meditation will refresh and relax you. There are different types of meditation, some meditate while driving their cars, some get away to a quiet place somewhere for a few minutes some lie down and focus on communing with God, whatever form you are using meditation will bring good results. Don’t try to make your approach to the Lord conform to what does not fit you, find a form of meditation that works for you and get with it.

Ps.119:148. (Amp) My eyes anticipate the night watches and I am awake before the cry of the watchman that I may meditate on Your word.

(Mess) I stayed awake all night, prayerfully pondering your promise.

Thank you for joining me once again and I trust you were blessed by the Word, don’t forget to apply it in your life, just hearing or reading it won’t benefit you much, but the meditation of the Word is what counts. Share the Word you receive with others and spread His love all around and have a really lovely day in Jesus name.

Again I exhort you, if you have never accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour then now is the time to do so, let to-day be the day of salvation for you by praying the following prayer from your heart and accepting the free gift that God is offering you:

Hi and welcome once again to “Abounding Grace” as we continue our study of the law of the Spirit of Christ. Last time we discussed how this law becomes operational in a person’s life and how to operate in this law. To-day we will continue with the key to putting this law into motion.

Rom.8:2. (Amp) For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

We see two distinctively different laws at work here, life and death are opposites, they are separate entities and they do not intermingle. The laws that govern Satan’s kingdom are at work in the earth since Adam fell, however, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will supercede the law of sin and death when put into operation.

Here is a table that will help you to understand what belongs under which law.

  • The law of sin and death:

The law of sin and death comprises all the miseries arising from sin and its consequences: sickness; disease; poverty and lack; physical death; mental illness; everything that could possibly go wrong with a human being, whether it be spirit, soul, body, financial or social. It is listed under the curse in Deut.28:15-68 and you can go and read it in your Bible.

  • The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus:

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus consists of: salvation; healing; Holy Spirit baptism; the gifts of the Spirit;

1Cor.12:7-10. (KJV) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.

The fruit of the Spirit;

Gal.5:22. (Amp) But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness.

A joint-inheritance with Christ:

Rom.8:17. (Amp) And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him].

Redemption from the curse:

Gal.3:13. (Amp) Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified).

The present day High Priestly ministry of Jesus:

Rom.8:34. (KJV) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Hebr.2:17. (KJV) Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

The care of the Father:

1Pet.5:7. (Amp) Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

All that pertains to life and Godliness:

2Pet.1:3. (Amp) For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

If you do not draw the line between these two laws, you will not be able to resist the devil when he comes against you.

The Key to setting this law in motion is found in:

Rom.10:9-10. (Amp) Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

All law is dominated by words; it works for salvation, for healing and for deliverance from all satanic oppression. No one can stand idly by and hope to be saved; the same applies to healing, prosperity etc. These things are governed by spiritual law and when you hear the Word, believe it, receive it, speak it and act on it, it will come to pass.

Do you see the importance of becoming established in who you are in Christ, that is why I have been posting the “In Him realities” on “The Invisible Church” site.

http://theinvisablechurch.wordpress.com/  You must know what is available to you through the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus so that you can put it to work in your life.

Another Key to putting the law of the Spirit of life in Christ to work is to be spiritually minded.

Rom.8:6. (KJV) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

To be spiritually minded simply means to be Word minded.

Jesus said:

John.6:63. (Amp) It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.

It is a spiritual law that whatever you continually think about you will speak and it will come to pass in your life.

Matt.12:34-35. (Amp) You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked)? For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse flings forth evil things.

The word evil here means hurtful, it consists of all hurtful, malicious or corrupt thought, but if God’s Word is what is in your heart in abundance, then it is God’s Word that you will believe, you will be spiritually minded, that will cause the proper attitude to put your faith to work. Faith is the spiritual force that sets these laws in motion and faith is directly connected to the Word of God.

Rom.10:17.  (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Thank you so much for joining me in this study of “The law of the Spirit” trust you have be blessed thus far and that you will take this Word and share it with all you come into contact with, spread His love all around and be blessed in all that you do.

Jesus said unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God, to understand what the kingdom is all about you must be born again and the law of salvation must be applied for the new birth to take place. You can apply the law of salvation by praying the following prayer from your heart and receiving the promise of the Spirit by faith.
